Description
Characteristics:
This product is used to delay the solidification of the exposed surface of the feed heads of aluminium alloy castings. The heat generated by the rapid exothermic reaction and the high insulating power of the residual solid crust considerably delay the solidification of the free surfaces of the feed head, leaving them exposed for a long time to the favourable effect of the feeding of the castings at atmospheric pressure.
Option:
Application of a thin layer of Exothermic Powder to the free surface of the feed heads of sand-cast castings considerably improves the feed heads’ efficiency and thus feeding of the castings.
