Characteristics:
Bonderite L-CA CG-555 is a vermiculite-based product used as a permanent coating on moulds which require good heat insulation.
The refractory film forms a layer that retains heat and helps to prevent the formation of shrinkage or solidification cavities caused by uneven cooling of the molten metal. The coating is durable and reduces wear of the mould; once stabilised on the surface of the moulds, it has an average lifetime of one to three shifts, depending on the type of casting and the process productivity rate.
